What is iCloud Activation Lock and How to Remove It?

iCloud Activation Lock is a security feature Apple introduced with iOS 7. When Find My is enabled on an iPhone, it ties the device to the owner's Apple ID. If the device is erased or reset, it can only be set up by entering that Apple ID — locking everyone else out.
